PUBLIC ADDRESSABLE SYSTEM

A Public Addressable System (PA System) is an electronic sound amplification and distribution system with a microphone, amplifier and loudspeakers, used to allow a person to address a large public. It can be used as a Voice Evacuation System with Fire Alarm system. A voice alarm is, however, not simply a public address system connected to the fire alarm panel. A voice alarm system work when needed during an emergency and is, therefore, fully monitored at all times. It automatically gets activated by the fire alarm panel during an emergency. The system will, evacuate areas in immediate danger and alert others. PA systems with speakers are widely used to make announcements in public. institutional and commercial buildings and locations. Intercom systems, installed in many buildings, have microphones in many rooms allowing the occupants to respond to announcements.

Access control systems are made up of a controller, keypad and access control devices wired to the controller to control doors and gates.

SPEAKER

 

Speaker, A loudspeaker (or “speaker”) is an electro-acoustic transducer that produces sound in response to the electrical audio signal input. Criteria for determining the loudspeakers required. The number of loudspeakers, their location, height, direction and the power input to the loudspeakers installed will have to be decided with the object of maintaining the intensity of reproduced sound above the local prescribed noise level so that the masking effect of noise over the signal could be reduced considerably. There are two types of speakers available:

1) Ceiling

2) Wall mount

Also, Different range of speakers is available in the market. eg: 2w. 6w. 12w etc.

AMPLIFIER

 

An amplifier in PA equipment is a device, which takes the low-level input signal from microphones and amplifies to a high-level output signal to the desired output power. which will be delivered to the loudspeakers at the output stage by suitable connection.

Different range of speakers is available in the market.

eg: 50w. 100w, I 20w. 240w. 480w. 500w, 1000w etc.

CONTROLLER

There are two types of controllers available in the market.

1) Analogue: 6zone and 12 azone controllers are available

2) Digital: up to 128 zone available

MIC

A microphone, colloquially named mic or mike is a device – a transducer – that converts sound into an electrical signal. Microphones are used in many applications such as telephones, hearing aids, public address systems for concert halls and public events, motion picture production, live and recorded audio engineering, sound recording, two-way radios, megaphones, radio and television broadcasting, and in computers for recording voice, speech recognition, VolP, and for non-acoustic purposes such as ultrasonic sensors or knock sensors.

Call Station is a system in which can decide the area where we need to do the
announcement.
